SEN Needs
For someone who has or who identifies as having additional needs, the world can be a challenging place. Having additional needs can sometimes feel as though you are a square trying to fit into a round world. These feelings can come from pre-diagnosis and feeling different or out of place, going through the diagnosis process and life after a diagnosis. There is often little support offered to both those who have additional needs and their families. Counselling can offer a space to process the feelings that may come along with a diagnosis such as Autism or ADHD for both the person being diagnosed and their family. Counselling with me offers a small space in a big world where you can be entirely yourself.
There is no need to worry about being judged for your differences or masking. It is somewhere you can be entirely yourself with someone who has extensive knowledge and experience of autism and its associated comorbidities, both personally and professionally. I understand how important it is to keep the environment the same and how sensory stimulus may affect you during our time together. At the assessment, all these considerations will be taken into account to ensure that you are always as comfortable as possible during your counselling sessions.
Counselling is the first step on your journey to being the you that you want to be, and I will be with you every step of the way.
